Today being the Queen’s grand daughter, Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall’s wedding, nothing beats revisiting what we think to be one of the best pic out of the Royal Wedding back in 29 April 2011 featuring Pippa Middleton, Kate Middleton’s sister.

Must Watch – Life in a Day
What happens when you send a request out to the world to chronicle, via video, a single day on Earth? You get 80,000 submissions and 4,500 hours of footage from 192 countries. Producer Ridley Scott and Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald took this raw material — all shot on July 24, 2010 — and created Life in a Day, a groundbreaking, feature-length documentary that portrays this kaleidoscope of images we call life. The Complete Guide to Instagram Apps
The past year definitely is the year for Instagr.am. Shortly after it’s initial launch back in October 2010, Instagram has gained over 7 million users which have shared over 100 million pictures and the numbers are climbing steeply, some predicted to reach 10 million by Thanksgiving. Alongside Instagram, a bunch of third-party apps follow suit, either as add-ons or get-on-the-wagon type useless apps. The list is ever-growing. To know which is the best amongst these apps, we need a complete guide or roadmap just to make sure that we’re getting the right app.
The Next Web (TNW) ran a very good story today covering the major Instagram apps and breaking them down into different categories. To name a few, their story included apps like -
- Inkstagram
- Pictarine
- ExtraGram
- Webstagram
- Gramfeed
- Carousel
- InstaFB
- Gramjunction
- Instadrop
- Insta-Great…….
and the list goes on and on…. practically one can make an app and have “insta” or “stagram” as part of the name an it would work, LOL. For full read, go to the TNW link here. Hope your find the guide useful. Happy reading.

Good Read – Bruce Lee and the Tao of Photography 李小龍截拳道之道與攝影之道
A while back I came across this article “Bruce Lee and the Tao of Photography” from the guys at Invisible Photographer Asia and cannot stop going back and reread it a couple more times. Everytime I read this short article, I pick up a bit more of the true Tao Of Jeet Kune Do or Way Of The Intercepting Fist from Bruce and how the author relates it to the true Tao to photography. I’m extracting the article here to share with you all and another article on Bruce explaining the Tao of Jeet Kune Do 截拳道之道 (in Chinese). Enjoy the read (fairly long).
Learn the principle, abide by the principle, and dissolve the principle.
Learn and practice the principles of photography, then break the rules to form your own method of photographing.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.
Don’t be constricted by your own training, knowledge and understanding of photography. Be flexible, fluent, adaptable to change, as and when the situation calls for it.
Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system.
At the end of the day, photography is never about the craft and the tools, it’s about humanity.
